Grace Ormonde Magazine Fall/Winter 2009!

Grace Ormonde Magazine, famous for its high end wedding fashion, just released their Wedding Style Fall/Winter 2009 edition. Design companies were challenged to submit their most extravagant Fall and Winter inspired tablescapes for a spot in the coveted magazine spread featuring upcoming decor trends. If tables could translate onto a runway, they would rival creations as striking as those just spotted at Miami SwimShow. Submissions were entered from around the country, and whether your taste leans more towards Eskimo roses and pheasant feathers to a combination of dried branches and water, there was a taste to satisfy every bride’s fantasy.

Our Winter piece was
inspired by a client who had mentioned “Winter in Aspen” as one of their wedding theme ideas. Creative Director Richard Randall states, “We were thrilled to hear that Grace Ormonde was asking for Winter Tablescapes. It allowed us to take an inspiration off the drawing board, transforming it into a lavish design piece”. The centerpiece is an acrylic top and base, supported by acrylic cylinders filled with birch branches. Set over a tabletop illuminated from below, it features a branch lattice, natural greens, and floral highlights. Susan Greenstein, Décor Manager, adds, “The use of fine wire allows our trumpet votives to float in midair beautifully. Small LED lights cast a moonlight glow on our table, without overpowering the setting”. For a unique touch that brings the concept full circle, trees were hidden behind a sheer white drape, adding a soft forest effect.

Other gorgeous table designs worth mentioning included those from the Tellico Yacht Club, (TN), Poipu Beach Estate (HI) and the Aldrich Mansion (RI). We were even happy to see a few environmentally friendly pieces make the cut! Be sure to pick up your copy of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Fall/Winter 2009 to view all the exciting new trends!

Speaking of design, seeing as though you can’t exactly walk down the aisle in barely there undergarments…(though it would make for one memorable wedding), you might also appreciate the pages upon pages dedicated to gown trends by your favorite designers. I found a simple, yet sophisticated Vera Wang gown and paired it with stunning shoes by Omelle! Cover to cover, you’ll find plenty of inspiration for your own creation.

However, you should probably save the lace for the boudoir photo session
